Europe House opening

Although already in operation for the last few months, the Europe House at AUT was officially opened today.
Neven Mimica – the European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development and Murray McCully – the Minister of Foreign Affairs, unveiled a plaque commemorating this occasion.

Polish presence at the opening was quite visible. Among invited guests attending were Zbigniew Gniatkowski – Polish Ambassador to New Zealand, Boguslaw Nowak – Honorary Consul of Poland in Auckland and Kazik Jasica – President of POLANZ (the Polish –New Zealand Business Association). Also present were two members of the POLANZ management committee – Ewa Scherer and Collin Smith.
